Christmas is at the corner and you must be planning different ways to dazzle your home. What can be the better option for this than the glitter glue ornaments? Glitter glue is the glue containing various glittering objects available in different colors. Glitter glue comes in two forms - one, containing the glitter and glue simultaneously and another in separate. In those cases where you buy them separately, you need to apply the glue first and then sprinkle the glitter on it. The most preferable among the glittering glue is the golden and silver ones. These glues easily stick to any object whether it is glass, fabric, nuts or pinecones and give an entirely new look to the object. It gives a stunning effect when it is mixed with other vibrant colors. Thinned-down water-soluble craft glue transforms myriad surfaces excellently. Glittering glue should be used selectively as too much of it make the thing look excessively decorated with no clarity and originality.
Glitter glue ornaments can be conveniently made at home with some readily available materials. Homemade ornaments are more impressive and convincing than the ones available in the market as they bear your artistic touch and are personalized in nature. The distinct thing about the craft is that it looks beautiful and is appealing in whatever form it is put. Even the kids will enjoy making the craft as this gives them innumerable scopes to show their creativity. These are easy to make Christmas crafts which are not only cost-effective but also richly decorative in nature.

Glitter Glue Ornaments Crafts
- Glass Ball ornament
- Colorful ribbon
- Glitter glue (preferably golden color)
Procedure
- Take a clear glass ball ornament. This is readily available in any of the craft shop. You can also use even used glass ball ornament. If you are using the old ones, make sure you clean it and dry it properly before use.
- Remove the top metal cap of the ornament, one which is used to hang the ornament with. Squeeze the glitter glue entirely into the glass ball and shake it thoroughly by closing its mouth with your hand. Swirl the ornament till the glitter glue spreads uniformly in the bottle.
- Allow it to dry completely. Once it is dried, invert the ornament on a paper to drain out any excess glitter. Now put small items like beads inside it to produce a ‘jingle' sound.
- Put the metal top on the ornament and tie a ribbon at the metal top. Hang it from Christmas tree or any convenient place where it is distinctively visible.
Alternate Tips
- You can put two or three colors of glitter at the same time in the glass ball. Close the top with finger or towel and rotate it slowly. The glitter will be distributed throughout the interior of the glass ball and you can see a marble effect created.
- Instead of squeezing the glitter glue inside the glass ornament, you can also paint the exterior of the glass with the same. For this purpose, first brush a thin layer of glue over the entire surface of the ornament. If the glue is very thick, add little bit of water in it to thin it down.
Now, hold the ornament over a container filled with glitter. Use a spoon to sprinkle glitter on the glued ornament. Keep turning the glass ball as you apply the glitter. When the entire surface is covered with the glitter, tap off the excess glitter. Keep the entire arrangement on a sheet of craft paper and allow it to dry. Once dried, it is ready to be hung to improve the décor of the festival.
