What You Need
What You Need
- Styrofoam Cone
- Stash of buttons
- Tissue paper
- Craft glue
- Decorative stones
- Hot glue
- Gum glue
How To Make
- By using craft glue cover the cone with tissue paper. Try to use the tissue paper of the same color as the buttons. This ensures that any gaps left between the buttons won't be visible, when the Christmas tree is complete.
- Starting from the top of the cone, use the hot glue gun to stick on a layer of buttons. While choosing buttons, try to choose buttons that do not have shanks as they will create an even base.
- Try sticking the buttons in such a way that they touch each other. Still, there will be gaps between the buttons, which will eventually be covered. Try to avoid using the decorative buttons on this layer.
- Once the first layer is in place, it's time to add on the next layer. For this, buttons with shanks are perfect as shanks can fit into spaces between buttons on the bottom layer.
- Make sure that all gaps in the first layer are covered.
