Christmas Carols From Ukraine

O Come, All Ye Faithful!
This Christmas song was originally written in Latin (Adeste Fideles) as in the form of a hymn. John Wade, an Englishman was accredited with having written that. The music was composed by a fellow Englishman, John Reading in the early 1700s. It was first published in a collection known as "Cantus Diversi" in 1751. In 1841 Rev. Frederick Oakley worked on its almost familiar English translation replacing the older Latin lyrics "Adeste Fideles".

Carol Of The Bells
It was the renowned Ukrainian composer and an orthodox priest Mykola Dmytrovych Leontovych who composed "Carol of the Bells" (also known as the "Ukrainian Bell Carol" or as "Ring Christmas Bells"). This song is believed to have some magical properties and is based on a traditional folk chant.
